Lawn Sprayer

Investing in a lawn sprayer is a valuable investment in your garden…

Investing in a lawn sprayer is a valuable investment in your garden.  They are an excellent method of ensuring you deliver the correct amount of food, fertilizer, pesticide or any other type of material to the exact area that you need it to be.

Not only do they allow you to measure exactly the materials you are going to working with, but you can also controll exactly how they are delivered from a fine mist all the was to a long range pinpointed stream.  You are able to reach under delicates parts of the plants such as leaves and flowers and you are also able to spray the underside of plants.

Deciding what you are going to use your lawn sprayer for is important in order to get the right size and type, but it is always advisable to get two different ones, one for your plant food or herbicide and the other one for the pesticide.  Keeping your plant food completely separate from the pesticides is vital for the health of your garden.  Also remember that some pesticides contain large numbers of volatile chemicals, so you don’t want to mix them together.

Types of Lawn and Garden Sprayers:-

1.  Hose End Sprayers.

These are the most easily used, cost effective models.  A simple sprayer jar is attached to a regular garden sprayer and the concentrated material is added to the jar.  Inside the jar there is a calibration device that calculates exactly how much water is required to dilute the solution to the ideal dilution.  One of the most trusted names in hose end sprayers is Green Garden.

2.  Tank Sprayers and Compression Sprayers.

By far the most commonly used sprayer system, they are also extremely easy to operate.  The spraying solution is placed in the tank and the remainder of the air is then pressurized by a pumping device in the handle.  Due to the pressure the spray is very direct which is ideal for dealing with pesticides.   The size of these devices ranges from a small quart sized model to a larger 3 gallon hand held.  If you require something bigger then it is best to look at the backpack sprayers which can hold up to four gallons.

3.  Backpack Sprayers.

Backpack sprayers work on the same pressurized system as above but with the over the shoulder back knapsack attachment, they are easier to handle and control.  There are various devices ranging from being pressurized first and then loaded onto your back or being pressurized whilst on your back for continual non-stop spraying.

4.  Powered Sprayers.

Powered by electricity or a gasolene engine, this device is able to deal with a lot of garden in a short space of time.  From large blasts of water to a fine mist they handle it all and also they are used in residential gardens as well as commercial enterprises, they are also very powerful cleaning machines which can be used to wash done vehicles and bbq areas in a snip.

5.  Battery Sprayers.

Similar in design to the backpack garden sprayer, but instead of having to pressurize the air in the tank or container, you just have to press a battery powered button which then releases the liquid without any of the heavy work.

Your garden landscaping work can be dramatically reduced with the right equipment and having the time to then enjoy the fruits of your labours will be a well deserved rest under your favourite tree or beneath your garden gazebo.
